Step outside and embrace the sunshine with this curated list of spring events in Ottawa.

Why Magic. April 1. Adults only. Kayser–a magician, illusionist, and mentalist with 12 years of experience–performs a unique and intimate magic show that will immerse you in illusions and enchantment.

Ottawa Wedding Show. April 1–2. Plan the wedding of your dreams with this event where you can connect with vendors, photographers, planners, and more! Browse samples and watch presentations to discover inspiration for your décor, hairstyle, and wedding cake.

Easter Egg Hunt at Valleyview Little Animal Farm. April 7–10. Partake in this annual Easter Egg Hunt while enjoying the company of a wide variety of animals and birds–from alpacas to zebus and goats to geese.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Concert. April 13–15. Immerse yourself in the magic of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets™ as CineConcerts brings the beloved film to life with the National Arts Centre Orchestra performing John Williams’s iconic score.

Ottawa PoutineFest. April 27–30. Get your curd on as more than 30 poutine vendors take over downtown Ottawa and offer up their take on Canada’s popular dish.

Canadian Tulip Festival. May 12–22. Welcome spring at the world's largest tulip festival! This popular annual event features massive tulip displays, a legacy walk, family activities and more.

Mother’s Day Flower Run. May 14. Help raise funds for the Canadian Tulip Legacy by joining in this run (or walk) past hundreds of thousands of blooming tulips and the Rideau Canal/Dows Lake. The length of the run is 1K for kids under 12 and 5K for adults.

Great Glebe Garage Sale. May 27. What better way to spend a Saturday in spring than at a giant neighbourhood garage sale that is both family and pet friendly. This is your chance to find those unique treasures you can't find anywhere else!

Kanata Ribfest. May 26–28. Stop by to kick off the barbecue season with craft beer, delicious food and live entertainment!

Orleans Craft Beer Festival. June 8–10. Add this award-winning event to your calendar and get ready to enjoy craft beer from more than 25 vendors, along with delicious food, smooth wines and spirits, and amazing live entertainment.

Mud Hero Ottawa. June 10. Challenge yourself by participating in one of Canada’s largest obstacle course events: 10km, 6km, or a kids' event, with multiple obstacles.

The New Art Festival. June 10–11. Find your new favourite local artist at this event showcasing art from more than 150 artists, including painters, photographers, collage artists, sculptors, potters, clothiers, jewellery makers, and more. Wander through the beautiful park and take in rows of art, eat delicious local food, and relax by the creek under a willow tree. Rain or shine. Free admission.
