The ninth race of the 2024 Formula one season will see reigning world champion Max Verstappen attempt to rack up three consecutive wins at l'Île Notre-Dame.
Mtl en Arts - 25TH EDITION l June 27-July 1: Montréal’s beloved arts festival returns for its 25th year, transforming rue Sainte Catherine into Eastern Canada’s open-air gallery that attracts 100,000 art lovers annually. This outdoor event allows visitors to meet more than 100 artists from various disciplines through a host of activities, including a massive outdoor visual arts and crafts expo and sale, interactive performances and installations, live painting, and activities for kids.
Festival International de Jazz de Montréal l June 27-July 6: Each summer, the city transforms into the world’s largest jazz stage, welcoming renowned musicians and emerging talents from across the globe. Spanning over ten days, the Montréal International Jazz Festival will captivate audiences with over 350 concerts, ranging from intimate performances in cozy venues to grand outdoor spectacles drawing crowds of thousands. This year’s lineup includes André 3000, Norah Jones, Killer Mike, Future Islands, Charlotte Day Wilson, Dominique Fils-Aimé, Elisapie, Kurt Vile and the Violators, and hundreds more. Alongside ticketed events, much of the Jazz Fest’s programming is free for all on the outdoor stages of the Quartier des spectacles.
MUTEK l August 20-25: Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the MUTEK festival will bring its celebration of electronic music, real-time audiovisual performances, and digital creativity to five venues spread across downtown this August. The only North American electronic music festival that hires almost exclusively live music acts, this year’s event will feature musicians and visual arts from around the world, and from Montréal’s own thriving scene. Running parallel to the festival and celebrating its 10th edition, the MUTEK Forum will once again bring together artists, researchers, technology professionals, digital experts, and innovators from August 20 to 23.
